Execute

Sorry for the people who thought this would be out earlier but some family matter came up which required me to go abroad at short notice tomorrow. Cue throwing clothes into suitcase and charging all my MP3 players, mobile phone and DS. Actually, if my geek side came through, I'd only have a suitcase full of electronic gadgets and just the clothes on my back.

Anyways, this release is from the second half of the Yellow Pop book which consists of a bunch of oneshots. This chapter focuses on a GAMER GUY and his GAMER GIRLFRIEND. Now really, that's just a ridiculous idea. There's some fighting game references which is kind of lost on me because the last fighting game I played was SNES Street Fighter 2 and the recent flood of fighting games like SF4, BlazBlue, King Of Fighter, MvC2 etc means that maybe one day I'll sit down and learn all about combos and take fighting games as SERIOUS BUSINESS.

As mentioned, I'll be going away for 2 weeks. Hopefully afterwards I'll end up with some scripts when I come back.

Edit: HURRRRRR... only just realised that the girl in this chapter is a parody of Shermie from KoF.

Jesus Christ Conan; next time warn a brother before he faps to a hot female version of Daigo. Now I'm gay, and I'll never be able to go to EVO without feeling super fucking awkward every time Daigo's name comes up.

My Fighting game career is ruined...sexily ruined, but ruined none the less.

Wow, a tsundere male lead. I haven't seen one in a long time.

Loved all the little fighting game references, especially for a fighting game nerd like me. Kemonono's works are fun to read, especially with all the various pop culture reference sprinkled within.

Made my day, thanks!

What about finishing the goddess ark?

So, the old dude is dressed as Terry Bogard (Fatal Fury). His Space invanders symbol on his hat and buck teeth are most likely a reference to "Game Center Arashi", a ridiculously over-the-top manga about a legendary gamer.
Vampire Ace/FeliNyan is a parody of Vampire series (aka Darkstalkers) and Felicia, one of its characters. Jun even wears a shirt with "Vampire Savior" on it (aka Darkstalkers 3). The "outcry of his soul" panel (page 121) is a reference to Kaiji, a gambling manga/anime, known for its pointy noses and lack of estrogen persons.

Enough trivia; on the last page (122), was "Perefct" originally spelt that way, or was that an editing error?

Spelling error. I'll put out a corrected version if I get round to finishing the rest of the chapters and compiling it into a while book. Although don't expect to see it done very soon.
